Sorcerer

Our people have been part of this land for as long as the mountains. We were there when the Sun mourned the disappearance of the Moon and created the Great Lake Muits with his tears. The Moon's return eventually eased his pain, but the network of islands and rivers left behind formed a scar on the land that would forever remind him of how much he had suffered.

We built our first city in the shade of Mount Sadaï, where the Sorcerers of old imprisoned Touti, the last of the great demon, until he was slain by the hero Kuila. As we moved away from our nomadic ways, the gift of magic became more rare.

Sorcerers continued to serve our people, using our power to tame the weather when it threatened the crops and protect our city from threats with Lightening and Fire. All was well until Sabine, who was the greatest Sorceress since Kuila. Unfortunately, she sought to control others rather than elevate them. Many innocents were killed and many more imprisoned under her reign, and in the end 27 Sorcerers had to give up their lives in order to take hers.

In the ashes of what used to be, the few Sorcerers who remained were given the choice of exile or death, for the people feared another dark reign.

Those who chose exile were lowered in the depth of Mount Sadaï before the shaft molded by Kuila was collapsed. Time passed, and while some Sorcerers explored the nearby caves, few sought an exit - our resignation most likely born from the belief that we lacked the skills required to escape the underground maze designed to thwart the strongest of demon.

The Game

 Sorcerer is a self-contained solo TTRPG based on the fantastic Tales of the Burned Stones by Fair RPGs which can be played with or without a journaling component. The game requires a full set of polyhedral dice (1d4, 1d6, 1d8, 1d10, 1d12 and 1d20) as well as some paper and a writing implement. 

Create your Sorcerer and figure out what drives them before facing the maze that may lead them back to freedom.
